BACKGROUND
Dr. Munira Mehta is a board certified Endocrinologist and Diabetes specialist with an interest in providing compassionate, evidence-based and patient-centered care to her patients.
Prior to joining CED, Dr. Mehta was an Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) in Houston, TX. She completed her undergraduate training at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN where she graduated magna cum laude. She graduated medical school from Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth, TX. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston, TX where she went on to serve as Chief Resident for an additional year. She then completed her Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism fellowship at BCM where she also served as Chief Fellow. While at BCM, she trained at world-class institutions in the prestigious Texas Medical Center.
Dr. Mehta is excited to be back in Austin and enjoys exploring the city's food scene, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
